(Teekay LNG eller Partnerskapet) (NYSE: TGP) annonserte i dag at de har avtalt kjøp av en 155,900 kubikkmeter nybygg tanker for flytende naturgass (LNG) fra Awilco ASA (Awilco) (ALNG: NO), en Norgesbasert eier og operatør av LNG-tankere. Fartøyet, som i øyeblikket er under konstruksjon ved Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd., (DSME) i Sør-Korea, forventes levert i tredje kvartal 2013, og etter levering fra DSME til Awilco vil Teekay LNG kjøpe fartøyet og totalbefrakte fartøyet tilbake til Awilco til en fast pris for en fast periode på fem år pluss en opsjon på ett års forlengelse. Teekay LNG vil kjøpe fartøyet for en pris på $205 millioner minus et beløp på $50 millioner betalt av Awilco som forskudd på charter, som kommer i tillegg til den daglige charterraten for totalbefraktningen.
