Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in Information Technology Receives Motorola Solutions Foundation Innovation Generation Grant

Internacional (Marketwired, 29 de Agosto de 2013) Center for Minorities and People with Disabilities in Information Technology (CMD-IT), which develops national-scale programs to ensure that underrepresented groups are fully engaged in computing and information technologies, today announced it has received $30,000 as part of the Innovation Generation grant program from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions, Inc. Through the grant, CMD-IT will utilize the funds to support a Code-a-thon for underrepresented undergraduate and graduate computer science students at the 2014 ACM Richard Tapia Celebration of Diversity in Computing Conference.

UPDATE: Hellas Sports Construction Awarded Weber State University Contract for the Second Time

Internacional (Marketwired, 29 de Agosto de 2013) Hellas Sports Construction of Austin, Texas has been awarded its second contract with Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. In 2011, Hellas installed a new state-of-the-art synthetic turf field at Elizabeth Dee Shaw Stewart Stadium, thanks to a generous donation from Robert and Annette Marquardt. The new project entails installation of 22,000 square feet of Matrix® Turf at a new indoor synthetic practice field on the second level of the Weber County Ice Sheet Expansion. The field will be multipurpose for use by the Wildcat's football, soccer, baseball and softball programs' training during winter months.
