The event will kick off with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2013. "It was critical for us to be open in time for hunting season," said Wholesale Sports Chief Operating Officer, Glenn Bingley. "We know how passionate the Prince George community is about the great outdoors, and come September 6 Wholesale Sports will be open and fully stocked for the fall hunting season."
Crews have been working almost around the clock to complete building renovations and prepare the store for opening. "Everyone – from the city officials and administrators to the general contractors, subcontractors and trades people – has really worked hard to make sure the store will be ready for our grand opening."
According to Bingley, the major construction activity will be completed over the next few weeks as the store set up and merchandising begins. "Our store manager and his team are now in place and our merchandising team is on the ground setting up fixtures and getting product on the shelves."
